Costa Crociere ships are famous for their high-tech equipment. One of these innovative digital jewels is the TCPOS software, which handles the management of both payments and access to attractions; ensuring guests have a more comfortable trip.

Contactless management

Traveling from Los Angeles to Singapore, from Fiji to the Red Sea, passengers can enjoy spectacular scenery, leisure, luxury and fun. In addition to boutiques and specialist shops for on-board-shopping, the ship boasts four restaurants, eleven bars, three pools, a 3500 square meter spa, a sports area, a 4D cinema, a three-floor theatre, a casino, a disco, a virtual reality area that simulates grand prix and golf tournaments, and an entire area devoted to Playstation gamers. Considering Costa Deliziosa’s immense spaces, accessing each available activity without carrying cash around is comfortable, safe and practical.

The Solution

No cash, no stress

Since the year 2000, TCPOS has installed its powerful applications on fifteen ships of Costa fleet, and three ships of the Ibero fleet, totaling over 1800 POS units. Our solution has a very simple, intuitive interface and manages the retail sales in restaurants and all related sales activities. Excursions can be booked through a series of touch-screen kiosks available in different areas of the ship, which are also enabled to print tickets. Payments are collected when the cruise is over, charging the customer’s account linked to their cabin.

The Results

User friendly customer and staff experience

In order to improve customer experience in terms of comfort and speed of services, TCPOS software helps the staff in all refreshment and catering areas. There is special attention paid to order management at the bar, where mobile systems are in use. Operators collect customer orders, linking them to their badge.
